MEENA TV-SERIES
Meena was a UNICEF-sponsored cartoon television series for countries in southern Asia, including India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Nepal. It was created to commemorate the decade of the girl child (1900-2000). Girl child literacy, gender equality, gender discrimination, awareness, life lessons, hygiene, and sanitation were all topics covered in the animated series. Ram Mohan’s most notable performance was as Meena, and he also directed 14-16 episodes. Meena became so popular that UNICEF created a similar character named Sara for the African continent with Ram Mohan’s assistance.
Its primary goal was to raise awareness about Aids and HIV.



UNKNOWN FACTS
- Much of the intricate animation for the live-action/CG Disney film The Jungle Book was created in the Bengaluru offices of the Soho-based Moving Picture Company.
- Much of the advanced computer graphics technology used to shoot the tiger scenes in Life of Pi was created in the Mumbai and Hyderabad offices of the Los Angeles-based special effects company Rhythm & Hues. In 2013, Life of Pi won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
